What do you want to be when you grow up? It sounds like a simple question—but it may be the wrong place to begin.
In this homily for the 22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time, we reflect on St. Paul’s call not to be conformed to the world, but to be transformed so that we may discern God’s will. Discernment is not first about asking, “What do I want?” It begins with a deeper question: “Jesus, what do You want?”
