Altar Serving

Altar Servers are responsible for assisting the priest in a reverent and respectful manner during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Responsibilities include: preparation for the Mass, assisting during Mass and closure after Mass. Altar Servers are selected and trained by the Pastor.

Precious Blood encourages young people from grade 5 and up who have received First Holy Communion to help with the serving of the Mass.  Instructions will be given to any boy or girl interested in serving Mass.  A schedule is made for the Altar servers which is supposed to be adhered to.  Altar servers are expected to contact fellow servers and make the necessary arrangements if they are unable to perform their scheduled duties.
